What is Sustainable?

ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT created by scientists in USA, Wackernagel amongst others. The Footprint accounts for human use of assets in relation to the production and availability of them. In countries in the "West", as USA and Sweden, there is a usage that is 10 times the assets that Earth can regenerate. The total average for the World is about 1,6 times the assets.
The Global Network of Ecological Footprint tells us that if we achieve a level of 1 times the assets, we are in balance with the regeneration of assets.

Station lunda has developed the worlds most efficient
lighting system.

STATION LUNDA HAS DURING THE WINTER 2018-2019 tested and evaluated the invention of improved lighting system that has been made on the Station. The system consists of high effective LED elements that gives over 200 Lumen per Watt. A dimmer is connected to the system and it has been one of the most important components in the system, both for low consumption as well as good comfort.
The electronics is a special construction made att Station Lunda which allows high efficency at over 95% in the transformation of electric energy to the lights. This system improves of the traditional method of using resistors in series with the LEDs to control the current. Both dimmer as well as transformers has zero standby effect.
The armatures are made to spread the light in the room at lowest possible losses.

Jevons Paradox

IN THE YEAR OF 1865,  the brittish economist William Stanley Jevons concluded that improvements of the Steam engine made by James Watt effected the coal mining business to an increase in the consumption of coal. The conclusion made by Jevons was that it was not to be trusted that efficiency led to a decrease of fuel- and energyconsumption.
